Over 4200 passengers arrived in Antigua aboard MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia, marking the late season’s inaugural call.

The customary plaque exchange between local officials and Captain Alessandro Galotto occurred onboard.

Local representatives included Geannie Joseph from Bryson’s Shipping, Rawle Reynolds from Antigua Cruise Port, Javier Jacobs from Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, and Mario Browne from the Ministry of Tourism.

Captain Galotto reminisced about a visit to Antigua thirty years ago. The Meraviglia, commissioned seven years ago, accommodates 5400 passengers and 1650 crew, akin to a floating city with over 7000 people.

Its amenities include two show lounges, four restaurants, a water park, and pools.

Antigua was the vessel’s final stop before returning to New York.
