Why did it have to be you?” is the question that lingers on my mind, as I still struggle to believe and accept that we lost you, Kevin. It saddens the hearts of all your past classmates and friends at Mona High School in Jamaica.

When we heard the news that you, a friend to all and the brightest light in the room, had lost your life, we were devastated.

You made everyone feel loved wherever you went, forming new friendships with ease because you were always smiling, laughing, dancing, and helping anyone in need, regardless of who they were. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATS APP GROUP

You were a light in so many of our lives, and for those of us fortunate enough to have met you, you impacted us deeply and left behind many cherished memories. We thank you—I thank you—for being my friend.

With tears in my eyes, I wish so much that this was all a dream, that this wasn’t real. “Not Kevin…not Kev,” I said when I first heard the news.

Sigh Bro, it tears up my heart to say you’re gone. My family, my brother, I love you. You will never be forgotten. Your death will always hurt as something I just can’t accept.

You’ll always be my true friend, always loved and remembered. Until we meet again, “Humble Prince,” rest in peace, my brother. This rings out from all of our hearts: We love and miss you, Kev!

—Sam, Rav, Dahlia, Tiran, 11Bus, and the entire Mona High School family
