Congratulations to Tiger Tyson for winning the Antigua & Barbuda Sportsman of the Year award! This marks the second time a sailing athlete has received this honor since Karl James in 2001. Additionally, Junella King (senior woman nominee), Emily Gaillard (junior), and Patrick Greensmith (junior nominee) were among the top three finalists in their respective categories. Tiger Tyson’s award was accepted by his father, Michael Tyson, as he is competing in Spain at the European Championship. Junella King’s award was accepted by her brother since she is currently racing on the vessel MAIDEN in the Ocean Globe Race between Uruguay and the UK. It was a fantastic night for sailing at the national award ceremony!
