Press Release: CAFS Forensic Science Conference

The Caribbean Association of Forensic Sciences (CAFS) is making a major adjustment to our biennial conference.

Due to international events taking place in Antigua and Barbuda that clashes with our Conference plans, we have made the Executive decision to move our Conference to AC Marriott Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica!

The Conference will remain under the theme: “Forensic Science in the Caribbean: Technology Paving the Way Forward” to be held June 10-12, 2024. We also extend the deadline for our call for abstracts, to be submitted to [email protected] before March 31, 2024.

CAFS was established in 2015 as a regional voice for all forensic and medicolegal practitioners in the Caribbean region.

We encourage the maintenance of the respective internationally acceptable standards of practice in all forensic disciplines, thereby promoting public confidence in the criminal justice systems of the various Caribbean territories.

We aim to enhance the development of our members and the profession through training, personal development and support by conducting workshops, praxis, conferences, webinars and symposiums.

In an effort to fulfil our objectives CAFS will be hosting this three (3) day conference.

The presentations will function to attract members from the judiciary, crime scene examiners, police officers and all the relevant fields of forensic and medicolegal practice.

We look forward to your involvement and support.
