Two men face July 23 trial over EC$600,000 hashish seizure

Two men accused of trafficking 52.9 pounds of hashish in one of the country’s largest drug seizures are scheduled to stand trial July 23.

Denfield Roberts and Deshawn Lattibeaudiere were charged after police allegedly found the drugs during a raid in Jennings on May 12, 2024. Authorities estimated the hashish had a street value of EC$600,415.

Roberts, who was 49 when arrested, and Lattibeaudiere, then 23, appeared before Justice Ann-Marie Smith on Tuesday and were given the new trial date.

Attorney Sherfield Bowen represents Roberts, while Lawrence Daniel represents Lattibeaudiere.

Hashish is a concentrated cannabis product.
