A member of The Original Burning Flames says the band will not be performing at the upcoming Melting Pot event because it was already booked for an engagement outside Antigua on the same date.
In a social media post on Thursday, Iyan Man Oungku said organizers of Melting Pot had attempted to secure the band’s appearance and later checked again to see if it had become available.
“The organizers of Melting Pot did try and also double checked to see if by any chance we became available but we were already booked solid for that date,” he wrote.
Oungku thanked supporters for their understanding and sought to address questions about the band’s absence from the event lineup.
The post ended with a reference to a “Face-off” event scheduled for July 24 featuring Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica.
