Waste Collection Delayed in Five Communities, Solid Waste Authority Says

Residents in five communities are being advised to expect delays in residential waste collection as the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) works to restore normal service.
In a press release issued Tuesday, the Authority said the affected communities are Blue Waters/Crosbies, New Field, Paynters, Potters West and Willikies B.
The NSWMA apologized for the inconvenience and said it is working diligently to resume its regular collection schedule.
The Authority expects waste collection in the affected communities to be completed by Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Residents who experience delayed or missed waste collection are encouraged to contact the NSWMA’s customer service hotline at 562-1347.
The Authority thanked residents for their patience and understanding and reaffirmed its commitment to providing reliable, efficient and timely waste collection services across Antigua and Barbuda.
