Routine Police Patrols Lead to Multiple Arrests Across St. John’s Districts

SOURCE -REAL NEWS: Several people have found themselves in the proverbial hot water coming outof routine mobile patrols by the Police.

During the exercises, a Cedar Grove man was arrested on suspicion ofrobbery; a Villa man was arrested on suspicion of house break-in and larceny;and a Willikies resident was arrested for threatening language.

They were alltransported to the St. John’s Police Station pending further investigations.

Reports say that lawmen, including officers from the Criminal InvestigationsDepartment (CID), conducted patrols in the district of St. John’s and itsoutskirts earlier this week.

Stops were made in Villa, The Point, Yorks, St.John’s City, Grays Farm, Bendals, Bathlodge, Creekside, Golden Grove, ClareHall, and Marble Hill. Other areas, including Weatherills, Cedar Grove, Langfords, Friars Hill Road,and Browne’s Avenue also saw heightened police presence.

Generally, these patrols were conducted between 8:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.The Police are reportedly increasing such activities to avert criminal activity,which has increased significantly over the past year, prompting fearfulresidents to call for more officers on the roadways.
