Prison Reform Advocate Jessica Thompson’s Fraud Case Adjourned Amidst Serious Charges

Advocate Jessica Thompson’s fraud case, with 13 charges tied to fraudulent money acquisition and one for bank card larceny, was adjourned to July 22.

Allegations claim she unlawfully obtained $19,700 by stealing a bank card and withdrawing funds in December 2023.

Thompson, 42, must return to court then, currently out on a $20,000 bond after paying $3,000 in cash and surrendering her travel documents.

She is required to report to the police station regularly and provide sureties.

Previously, she championed prison reform after her own incarceration, but now faces the prospect of returning to prison herself due to these serious charges.
