Potters Primary, Dynamics Kids Among Winners at 2026 Junior Carnival Awards

The winners of the 2026 Junior Carnival competitions were officially recognised during the Smalta 2026 Junior Carnival Awards and Presentation Ceremony, where schools, private bands, cheerleading groups and young performers were honoured for their performances throughout the festival.

In the Preschool Section, Learning Ladder Preschool claimed the top prize, followed by Beehive Learning Center in second place and Willikies Child Development Center in third.

Potters Primary School captured the Primary School Section title, with Pares Primary School finishing as first runner-up and Villa Primary School taking second runner-up honours.

Dynamics Kids won the Private Band Section and also secured the Queen of the Band title. Royal Legacy finished as first runner-up.

Sparkles Cheerleaders topped the Marching Band Section, ahead of Let’s Dance Cheerleaders in second and Xplosion Cheerleaders in third.

The Spirit of Carnival award went to Seaview Farm Primary School. Villa Primary School was named first runner-up, while FreeTown Primary School placed second runner-up.

In the Junior Road March competition, Soca J’s “Paper Fight” earned the winning title. Zsura’s “Small Package” finished first runner-up, while Jamario’s “Mash Up” placed second runner-up.

The awards ceremony brought together participants, parents, educators and supporters to celebrate the achievements of the young performers who helped make the 2026 Junior Carnival season a success.
