Dwayne George Inspects ARG Readiness Ahead of Carnival Events
— Minister of Sports and the Creative Industries Dwayne George has conducted a walkthrough of the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG) to assess preparations for the upcoming Carnival activities.
George was joined by members of the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission and the ARG team during the inspection, which focused on the venue’s operational readiness.
According to the minister, the review covered security arrangements, stage construction, lighting, sound production, crowd management and other key logistical areas to ensure the venue is prepared to host festival events.
George said he was satisfied with the progress made and commended the Festivals Commission, technical crews, security personnel and other partners involved in the preparations.
He also stressed the importance of planning and collaboration in delivering a safe and well-organized festival experience for patrons, performers and other stakeholders.
The Ministry of Sports and the Creative Industries said it will continue working with all stakeholders to ensure the successful staging of this year’s festival season.
