Elderly Woman Reports Being Raped by Intruder Inside Her Home

A 67-year-old woman has reported being raped after an intruder allegedly forced his way into her home around 3:30 a.m. last Wednesday.

The woman told police she tried to keep the man out by securing her door with wire, but he forced his way inside, breaking the chain lock. She said he raped her, threatened to cut her throat if she screamed, and fled after a struggle.

She described the suspect as a dark-skinned man with upright hair who was not wearing a mask and said she recognized him.

Police processed the scene, and the matter has been referred to the Gender Affairs Division. Efforts to obtain an update from police were unsuccessful.
