High Court to Set Trial Date for Berle Wallace Jr. in Christopher Smithers Murder

Berle Wallace Jr. is awaiting a trial date confirmation from the High Court for the murder of Christopher Smithers, a Friars Hill Development personal trainer.

The trial is scheduled to begin on May 27, pending final confirmation on May 3.

The tragic incident occurred on March 1, 2022, around 6:23 p.m., on St. John’s Street. An altercation between Wallace Jr. and Smithers, employed at Xtreme Fitness Club in Friars Hill Development, led to Smithers being fatally stabbed by Wallace Jr., then 38 years old.

After the stabbing, Smithers was rushed to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
