It is alleged that the young man was approached and robbed of his iPhone 8Plus, valued at US$400, and his bag, which contained a phone charger, hiswallet, and a Bluetooth headphone among other personal items. The victim said his attackers were tall, one being about six feet while the otherwas about 6’2” in height.
Reportedly, the taller of the two had a smallmoustache and beard and was wearing a yellow basketball shirt and blackknee-length pants. Allegedly, he was holding a screwdriver, while the other man – who wore agrey T-shirt and black knee-length pants – had a dark cloth tied around hisface and held a hammer. Meanwhile, the taxi operator was driving down to the beach when heobserved a suspicious vehicle parked in the road.
Reportedly, he noted that itwas a rental vehicle bearing a three-digit number plate. Allegedly, he later saw two unknown males running towards the rentalvehicle, into which they jumped and fled the scene. A search was carried out in the surrounding area for the motor vehicle andalleged robbers, but without success.
