ANR- Cheryl Thompson, 65, owner of Jam Dung Nightclub, passed away while seeking treatment for chest pains.

Thompson faced several legal battles during her career.

May her soul rest in peace.

In 2018, Thompson was accused of various human trafficking offenses, including debt bondage, trafficking, and benefiting from trafficked persons’ services.

Her lawyer argued against the trial, but the High Court ruled in favor of the prosecution.

These charges were not the first time Thompson faced legal scrutiny; earlier charges were dismissed due to legal issues with the Trafficking in Persons (Prevention) Act, which was later amended to address these concerns.

More to come.
