Reports say that a 48-year-old householder had secured her home at about 10p.m. on April 16, and gone to bed at about 2:20 a.m. the following morning.
However, she later woke to discover an intruder inside her home.It is alleged that the man had entered via an awning window by using a hardimplement to pry it open.
Reportedly, the intruder then climbed through the window, gaining access tothe living room, where he stole a grey HP laptop; a Samsung Galaxy J7 cellphone valued at $500; and a black North Face knapsack valued at $125.Allegedly the victim’s 17-year-old daughter was asleep in the living room andwas awakened when the intruder touched her breasts before making hisescape through the front door.
The burglar is described as about 5 feet 6 inches tall, of a slim build, and darkin complexion. At the time, he was wearing blue pants with a grey shirt tiedover his face.
The home invasion was reported to the Grays Farm Police Station, and officerssearched the surrounding areas for the suspect, but without success.
