The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation, and the Environment proudly congratulates Mr. Leon Josiah, a distinguished Antiguan, who has been awarded a full scholarship from the Pears Foundation to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health at the prestigious Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

This one-year program will equip Mr. Josiah with invaluable knowledge and skills that will greatly contribute to strengthening Antigua and Barbuda’s health sector upon his return. He is set to embark on his academic journey on the 21st of October, 2024.

Mr. Josiah is the second Antiguan to receive this esteemed scholarship, following Dr. Anike Matthew-Anthony, who was awarded the scholarship in 2017. We wish him the very best in his studies and look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on our healthcare system.”

On behalf of the Ministry and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, we extend our best wishes to Mr. Josiah for success in this new chapter of his professional journey.
