Antigua and Barbuda’s preparations for the Fourth Conference of Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) are in full swing, with hundreds of residents offering accommodations for the expected 5,000 overseas delegates.

St. Clair Soleyn, the Project Development Officer in the Ministry of Tourism, has noted an overwhelming response, highlighting the community’s eagerness to support the event.

Following the government’s decision to forego the cruise ship option, interested individuals are urged to register their properties for inspection.

These accommodations must meet stringent guidelines equivalent to a 2-Star hotel, including security, internet access, cleanliness, linen provision, and card payment facilities.

A townhall meeting is scheduled to clarify expectations and requirements for hosts, covering areas such as health, transportation, technology, security, and collaboration with NODS.

Additionally, plans for a dedicated conference APP aim to provide delegates with essential information about Antigua and Barbuda, enhancing their experience during SIDS4.
