Sir Ron emphasized that this initiative aims to facilitate formal discussions, akin to those with Israel, to promote peace.
He reported a positive initial response from Palestine, supported by the Foreign Affairs Minister, EP Chet Greene.
This diplomatic effort follows Antigua and Barbuda’s support for a UN General Assembly resolution urging the Security Council to consider Palestine’s membership application.
The resolution also seeks to enhance Palestine’s rights as a Permanent Observer.
