Antigua and Barbuda has been unanimously elected as Chair of the Finance Committee of the World Customs Organization

Antigua & Barbuda has been unanimously elected as Chair of the Finance Committee of the World Customs Organization (WCO) for the period 2023-2025 beginning in June.

The elections were held on the 5th of April 2023, The Comptroller of Customs Mr. Raju Boddu represented Antigua and Barbuda.

Mr. Boddu received overwhelming endorsement, Canada nominated, while support and commendations were received from United Kingdom, United States, China, Japan, Sweden, European Union, Germany, and Portugal.

For the next two years Antigua & Barbuda will steer and provide stewardship to the financial management of the WCO.

Mr. Boddu is pictured with Ian Saunders , Additional Commissioner, US CBP, also contesting for Secretary General WCO in June.
