The Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated the retirement of Permanent Secretary Anthony Liverpool on Friday, with staff, diplomats, and family in attendance.

Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene commended Liverpool for his contributions since 2018, including mentoring and international relations.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne, through Ambassador Lionel Max Hurst, expressed gratitude and sought Liverpool’s future counsel.

Ambassador Zhang Yanling from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and Venezuelan Ambassador Carmen Velasquez praised Liverpool’s professionalism.

Non-Resident Ambassador Dorbrene O’Marde reflected on their shared experiences and Liverpool’s role as Deputy Chairman of the Reparation Commission.

Liverpool will continue as Special Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
