APUA: Several Communities Still Without Electricity Amid Ongoing Grid Repairs

Electricity System Update
28 July 2026
The following feeders and communities remain temporarily without electricity at this time:
Belmont #2: All Saints Road east of the substation, Bellview, Bayview, Herberts, Clarks Hill Renfrew, St. Clair’s Estate, Freemans Village, Sea View Farm, Lightfoot and Ferris Farm.
Belmont #4: Big Creek, Ebenezer, Jennings, Hermitage and Jolly Harbour.
Swetes #4: All Saints Village, Clarkes Hill, Matthews Road, Jonas Road, Cedar Hill, Mount Joy Service Station, Vernons, Parham and Cochrane Corner.
North Feeder: Friars Hill Road North, McKinnon’s, Halcyon, Blue Waters, Marble Hill, Paradise View, Sandals North, Langfords, Weatherills and Mount Pleasant South.
We acknowledge that the North Feeder had previously been re-energised. However, it had to be temporarily de-energised again to manage demand on the available transmission line and reduce the risk of another system collapse.
Under the current fault conditions, the transmission line presently in service is not sufficient to meet the electricity demand of all customers. Our teams are actively carrying out assessments to locate the remaining fault. Once it is identified, the necessary repairs will be carried out, after which further restoration efforts will take place thereafter.
We regret the continued inconvenience and appreciate the patience of affected customers as work continues.
