Child Allegedly Steals Wallet From Parked Vehicle on Brownes Avenue

A resident is appealing for the return of a wallet and its contents after a young boy was allegedly captured on video entering a vehicle and stealing it in the Brownes Avenue area.

According to the vehicle owner, the incident occurred on Saturday night. The individual claimed the child entered the parked vehicle and took a wallet containing bank cards, cash, a driver’s licence, medical card and other personal documents.

In a social media post accompanying the video, the owner appealed for anyone who recognises the child to notify his parents and ask that the stolen items be returned.

“I don’t want to have to come looking,” the owner wrote, urging the child to “kindly bring back my stuff.”

The owner expressed concern about the child’s age, saying it was troubling to see someone so young allegedly involved in theft.

No information has been released indicating whether the matter has been reported to police. The identity of the child has not been confirmed.

The incident has prompted renewed discussion online about juvenile delinquency and the importance of early parental intervention when children become involved in alleged criminal activity.
