Antigua Grammar Student Begins Culinary Internship Through Junior Chef Academy

Brian Joseph Jr. of Antigua Grammar School has begun his culinary internship as part of the Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Academy 2026, where he will train under Executive Chef Kahendi Mint Jackson at Charr’d Restaurant.

The programme pairs aspiring young chefs with experienced culinary professionals, giving participants hands-on training in commercial kitchens while helping them develop practical skills and industry knowledge.

Brian’s internship runs from July 13 to Aug. 21. Participants will then compete in the academy’s cook-off competition from Aug. 25 to 28 before the programme concludes with a closing ceremony and awards presentation on Sept. 3.

The top Junior Chef will earn the opportunity to represent Antigua and Barbuda at the Junior Lit’l Chef Camp in the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2027 through a partnership with the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association.

The Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Academy 2026 is presented by the Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association, the Ted Isaac Family and Global Ports Holding (Antigua Cruise Port).
