Secondary schools in Antigua and Barbuda are eligible to compete for cash prizes in the CARICOM Regional High School Youth in Agriculture Video Competition.

Schools must produce a creative one-minute video showcasing student-led agricultural production and explaining the importance of agriculture to their community, country and the wider Caribbean.

The prizes are US$1,700 for first place, US$1,300 for second and US$1,000 for third.

The CARICOM Secretariat said the competition is intended to highlight successful school agriculture programmes, promote sustainable farming and encourage young people to consider agriculture as a career or business opportunity.

It is being organised in collaboration with the CARICOM Youth Advisory Body, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture.

The deadline for submissions is Sept. 4, 2026. Competition guidelines and entry information are available through the CARICOM Secretariat.
