Government Yet to Access $100M Road Project Loan, PM Says

The government has not yet drawn down any funds from a $100 million loan facility earmarked for the National Road Project, Prime Minister Gaston Browne told Parliament this week.
Responding to a question on the status of the financing, Browne said no proceeds have been received to date and the facility remains undrawn.
“We have not received any proceeds from the loan as yet. It remains undrawn, but we hope to commence accessing the facility from later this month,” the prime minister said.

The loan is intended to help finance the National Road Project, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving the country’s road network.
