Antigua’s Unruly Union Wins Caribana Barbuda Classic Horse Race

Antigua claimed the top prize today at the Caribana Barbuda Classic Horse Racing Competition in Barbuda, with Unruly Union emerging victorious in the feature race at Coronation Park.
The winning horse delivered an impressive performance on the track, thrilling spectators during the highly anticipated Antigua versus Barbuda showdown, which formed part of the Caribana 2026 celebrations.
Unruly Union was expertly ridden by Antiguan jockey Junior “Ritical” Walters. The horse is owned by Dr. Baba Thwaites and trained by Devon O’Garo.

The annual competition, hosted by the Barbuda Turf Club in collaboration with State Insurance Company Limited, featured seven races and attracted a strong turnout of patrons eager to witness one of Barbuda’s most celebrated sporting traditions.
The victory by Unruly Union added another exciting chapter to the 26th edition of the horse racing event, which continues to be a major highlight of the Caribana festival.
