APUA Apologizes After Water Disruptions Affect ABEC Registration Centres

The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) says it is working to restore water service to Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) registration centres affected by Thursday’s supply disruptions.
In a statement issued Thursday, APUA’s Water Business Unit apologized to ABEC, staff members and members of the public impacted by the interruptions.
The utility acknowledged the inconvenience caused, particularly to persons attempting to access important public services at the affected locations.

APUA said its teams continue to manage daily distribution challenges across the network while reviewing and refining operational arrangements to improve the balance and flow of water across communities and service areas.
The Water Business Unit also said efforts are underway to restore and improve water supply in the affected areas so that normal operations can resume as soon as possible.
The utility noted that many customers have been experiencing frustration due to repeated service interruptions and said operational improvements are being pursued to strengthen the reliability and consistency of the water network.
