LETTER: Government Must Address Ebola Preparedness as Flights Come From Africa

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to respectfully raise a matter of public concern and to request that this issue be brought to the attention of the Honourable Prime Minister and the Minister responsible for Aviation and Minister of health
There have been reports regarding an Ebola outbreak in certain parts of Africa, and I am reaching out to seek clarification on any measures being considered to protect the people of Antigua and Barbuda.

Specifically, I would appreciate information on whether there are any plans regarding flights operated from affected regions, and what precautions or screening measures are currently in place.
My concern stems from the understanding that Antigua and Barbuda may have limited facilities or resources for specialized testing and management of diseases of this nature.
As members of the public, many persons may also be seeking reassurance and guidance regarding preparedness and safety measures.
I kindly request a response or a public statement addressing these concerns, as there has not yet appeared to be widespread communication to the general public on this matter.
Given that Antigua receives international flights, many citizens and residents would appreciate clarification regarding any potential risks and the steps being taken to safeguard public health. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
