WIOC Advises Public of Emergency Response Exercise This Week

West Indies Oil Company Ltd. (WIOC) is advising residents in nearby communities of a scheduled Emergency Response Exercise set to take place on May 21 and 22, 2026.
According to the notice, local emergency response agencies will participate in the exercise, and residents may notice emergency personnel, vehicles, alarms, smoke and increased activity in the area.
WIOC stressed that there is no cause for alarm.

The company said exercises of this nature are important for improving emergency response capabilities and helping to ensure the safety of staff, neighboring communities and the environment.
