YEEP Expands Second-Chance Programme With Four New Subjects

The Youth Education and Empowerment Programme (YEEP) will introduce four new subject areas for the 2026–2027 academic year as the government-backed second-chance education initiative continues to expand its offerings.
YEEP Director Dr. Troy Allen announced that Spanish, Theatre Arts, Adult Literacy and Financial Literacy will be added to the programme’s curriculum for the upcoming academic year.
Registration is already underway for the new subjects along with several existing programme offerings.

The programme provides educational and personal development opportunities for young people and adults seeking a second chance at academic advancement, skills training and literacy development.
YEEP has become a key part of Antigua and Barbuda’s efforts to assist individuals who may have left the traditional school system or are looking to improve their qualifications and employment prospects.
Interested persons can contact the programme at 562-9367 for more information.
