Participants in the King’s Foundation Building Craft Programme have returned to Antigua and Barbuda after completing heritage building and sustainable construction training in the United Kingdom.
The group was welcomed at the airport by President of the Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS), Dr. E. Jonah Greene, as they prepared to begin applying their newly acquired skills locally.
According to ABCAS, the initiative exposed participants to traditional construction methods and climate-resilient building techniques aimed at strengthening Antigua and Barbuda’s capacity in heritage preservation and sustainable development.
The programme forms part of ongoing efforts to equip residents with specialised construction and preservation skills while supporting the country’s growing focus on resilient infrastructure and heritage conservation.
