56-Year-Old Cooks Hill Resident Found Dead Outside Home

POLICE INVESTIGATE SUDDEN DEATH OF COOKS HILL RESIDENT

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Saturday, May 30, 2026
The police are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a male resident of Cooks Hill.
The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Dion Francis, whose lifeless body was discovered outside his home on Friday evening.
Police officers responded to the scene after receiving information that raised concerns about the welfare of the deceased. Upon arrival, officers detected a foul odor coming from the property and subsequently conducted a search of the premises. During the search, the body of Mr. Francis was found lying motionless in the northwestern section of the yard.
Initial examinations revealed no visible signs of violence, and investigators have indicated that there is currently no evidence to suggest foul play. The body was found in the early stages of decomposition.
Francis was last seen alive on Tuesday, May 26. A Medical Doctor visited the scene and officially pronounced him dead at approximately 8:46 p.m.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda extends sincere condolences to the family, relatives, and friends of Dion Francis during this difficult time. The police respectfully ask the public to keep the family in their thoughts and prayers as they grieve their loss.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
