Youth Arise Antigua Ends 2025 with Two Grand Community Initiatives
Youth Arise Antigua successfully closed out 2025 with two impactful community initiatives under the leadership of Makiba Ward, highlighting the organization’s unwavering commitment to community service, compassion, and youth empowerment.
On 29th November 2025, Youth Arise Antigua hosted a Thanksgiving Lunch with the Elderly at the Fiennes Institute Nursing Home. Members and volunteers came together to serve meals, engage in meaningful conversations, and spend quality time with the residents.



The initiative focused on showing appreciation to senior citizens while reinforcing the importance of care, dignity, and intergenerational connection.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth, gratitude, and joy, making the experience meaningful for both residents and volunteers.
Continuing the season of giving, the organization concluded the year with its Christmas Toy Drive on 13th December 2025.
Through this initiative, over 200 toys were distributed to children within St John’s, spreading holiday cheer and ensuring that many children experienced the joy of Christmas.
This initiative was made possible through the generous support of donors and dedicated members.
In addition to celebrating a successful year of service, Youth Arise Antigua has officially opened registration for new members for 2026. Registration has been open since 1st December 2025 and will remain open until 16th January 2026.
The organization is inviting passionate, community-oriented individuals who are eager to make a difference and actively contribute to youth-led community development initiatives.
As Youth Arise Antigua looks ahead to 2026, the organization remains committed to expanding its outreach, strengthening partnerships, and empowering young people to play an active role in nation-building throughout Antigua and Barbuda.
