Water Service Interruption Announced for Crabb’s Reverse Osmosis Plant Areas
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Water Business Unit has informed customers of a temporary disruption in water supply from the Crabb’s Reverse Osmosis Plant due to unforeseen technical difficulties.
In a public notice issued on Friday, January 3, 2025, APUA assured affected residents that its maintenance team is actively working to resolve the issue and restore the plant’s operations as quickly as possible.
APUA has extended apologies for any inconvenience caused and expressed gratitude for the public’s patience and understanding during this time.
Areas Affected by the Service Interruption:
- North Sound and Surrounding Areas: Weirs, Gunthorpes, Fitches Creek, Pigotts, Paynters Housing Project, Paynters East and West, Lightfoot East and West, Herberts Main Road, Sea View Farm, Potters East, Bellview Estate, Bayview, Herberts, Renfrew, Ferris Farm, Eastern Section of Buckley Line, Law Pasture.
- Central and South-Eastern Communities: Parham, Vernons Development, Diamond Estate, Pares through Long Bay, Mount Joy, Jonas Road, All Saints, Mock Pond, Freemans Village, Northern Section of Roman Hill, Collins to Freetown.
- Urban and Surrounding Areas: Old Parham Road from Paint Plus, Cassada Gardens #1, 2, and 3, Skerritts Pasture, Sutherlands, Carnival Gardens, Government Office Complex, Sir Sydney Walling Highway from Potters Junction to St. John’s Fire Station, Friars Hill Road East from Village Walk to the Government House, Upper Gambles, Campsite, Clare Hall, Wireless Road, Cedar Valley to Boons Point.
Residents in these areas are advised to plan accordingly while the maintenance team addresses the technical issue. Further updates will be provided by APUA as the situation progresses.
