Victory Center receives wellness equipment from Halo

The Victory Center, school for children with special needs , received an array of wellness equipment which was presented to them on Friday at Government House by Her Excellency Lady Williams, President of the Halo Foundation.

Kelly Hedges , Principal of the Victory Center , accepted the supply of items which included a rocking chair , several soft exercise balls, professional yoga mats , an extensive collection of stress balls , an easel whiteboard , a set of dry erase markers and two wall clocks .

Lady Williams commented that “the Victory Center’s wishlist , which was published on Halo’s website , detailed the wellness requirements for their students — and we opted to provide these . At the end of each quarter , the aim is to assist one of the many charities under our patronage in acquiring one or more items on their communicated wishlist”.

The Halo Foundation website (foundationhalo.org) reiterates that the students at the Victory Centre have conditions which “range from Autism, Down Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHA) and developmental delays, along with various learning disabilities.”
