Top Student D’Aundre Samuel Selected for Prestigious Caribbean STEM Program

D’Aundre Samuel, a former St Joseph’s Academy student, was selected for the Caribbean Science Foundation’s SPISE program in Barbados.

This five-week summer program targets top Caribbean high school students aged 16-18 interested in STEM fields, aiming to inspire future leaders and entrepreneurs.

Held at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus, SPISE offers intense instruction in calculus, physics, biochemistry, and entrepreneurship, along with hands-on projects in programming, robotics, and renewable energy.

The program culminates in student project competitions. Samuel, who excelled academically with 21 grade ones and two grade twos, joins other top scholars in this prestigious program.
