I am Jermaine Nadine Edwards, Community Advocate for St. John’s Rural South, and I encourage us all to embrace the true spirit of the season by paying attention to the needs of our neighbors, family, and friends.

This is a time to extend kindness, share what we have, and bring joy to everyone, especially our elders, who also deserve moments of laughter and love.

Let’s remember that Christmas is not just about receiving—it’s about giving from the heart. A simple smile, a warm greeting, or a listening ear can brighten someone’s day. For those of us with more, let’s reach out to those with less and create a season of unity and generosity.

To my community of St. John’s Rural South and the entire nation of Antigua and Barbuda, I send warm holiday greetings. May we strengthen family bonds, care for our seniors, nurture our children, and build a more compassionate community.
