According to information from personnel at the St. Peter Registration Unit, located at the Precision Centre, over 150 people have applied for replacements this week alone. Among those renewing their IDs today were Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney and renowned fashion designer Calvin Southwell.

The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) has adjusted the Registration Unit’s operating hours to accommodate the growing demand. The unit will now be open from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on weekends. However, residents are reminded that the unit will be closed on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

Registration personnel have assured the public that the process of replacing an expired Voter’s ID Card is straightforward, taking no more than seven minutes per individual.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the adjusted hours and ensure they are ready to participate in the upcoming by-election. For further inquiries, ABEC can be contacted at +1 (268) 562-4191, via their website at www.abec.gov.ag, or by email at [email protected].
