Nomination Day and Venue
Nomination Day for the by-election in St. Peter will take place on Tuesday, 31st December 2024, at the Parham Primary School.
Submission of Nomination Papers
Nomination Day Papers must be submitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Nomination Paper Requirements
In accordance with the Election Rules outlined in the Representation of the People (Amendment) Act, 2001, the nomination paper must include:
- The full name, place of residence, and occupation of the candidate.
- The names of a proposer and a seconder, along with the names of eight (8) registered electors in the constituency.
- The electoral number of each person listed, as shown in the Register of Electors.
Deposit Requirement
A sum of $500 in cash must be deposited with the Returning Officer at the time of delivering the nomination papers.
Role of the Returning Officer
