Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Recruits and Staff
At approximately 0530 hours this morning (25th March 2025), a privately owned motor vehicle collided with a group of recruits and staff members near the US Former Air Station.
The group had been conducting physical training when the incident occurred.
Emergency services, including police officers and an ambulance, arrived at the scene at around 0550 hours. The injured personnel, who sustained various injuries to the head, neck, back, shoulder, and foot, were stabilized and transported for medical treatment at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.
The police are currently investigating the incident to determine its cause. Authorities have launched an official inquiry, gathering statements from eyewitnesses and those involved.
The safety of all individuals remains a top priority. The ABDF would like to thank the Law Enforcement Officers and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team for their swift response and professionalism.
The ABDF also expresses its gratitude to the public for their concern and kind wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured personnel.
