Six Roads Paved in Mount Pleasant as Public Works Intensifies Community Upgrades
The Ministry of Works has completed the paving of six roads in Mount Pleasant, following the pouring of 500 yards of concrete on Thursday. The project forms part of an ongoing nationwide infrastructure push led by the government.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne praised the achievement in a post on social media, congratulating Minister of Works Maria Browne, her staff, and private contractor Patrice “Baba” Luke and his team for their efforts.
“Congratulations to the Minister and staff at the Ministry of Works, Hon. Maria Browne, as well as the private contractor Patrice (Baba) Luke and his staff,” the Prime Minister wrote.
Minister Browne also shared the update on social media, noting that the Ministry is actively working in communities across Antigua and Barbuda both day and night. “As promised, the Ministry of Works is on the go… featuring new equipment and dedicated staff members,” she stated.
The Ministry’s road rehabilitation drive is being supported by a fleet of recently acquired equipment and forms part of a broader infrastructure programme, which includes road resurfacing, drainage improvements, and utility upgrades. (Written with input from AI)
