Serving Hope and Nourishment: Adventist Ministries Bring Aid to the Homeless and Inmates in Antigua
The Adventist Community Services has an extension Ministry called “Soup Kitchen” which is actually a collaborative ministry between the Community Services Federation and The Lay Federation, Antigua. Every Sunday morning, since 2019,2020 an average of 100 breakfast is served to the homeless men and women who live on the market and market street area. They also receive the Word as Spiritual food.
The picture below was a special breakfast and service in light of the season, where 125 breakfast was served along with clothing to the homeless men and women who live on the streets in St. johns and the environs. Souls have been saved; lives are renewed because of this powerful ministry of ‘service to the least of these.’
The Prison Ministries Antigua chapter has had a long tradition of service to the inmates at 1735. Here in the pictures below, 29 food baskets were presented to the Superintendent by President Jo-Ann Peters on behalf of the ministry.
