Results of the 2025 Summer Writing Challenge

The Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries celebrated the winners of the 2025 Summer Writing Challenge at a luncheon award ceremony today, at the Hodges Bay Resort
In 2022, the Summer Writing Challenge was launched to provide young Antiguans and Barbudans, aged 6 to 17, with an opportunity to explore critical issues and express their ideas in writing during the many weeks of the summer holidays. In 2024, 18 year olds who were still in Secondary school were allowed to participate. In 2025, students wrote poems, essays or dramatic pieces on one of the five themes: OAS, Volunteerism, Man and Animals, Mental Health and Sports.
