Rai Benjamin leads youth athletics clinic at YASCO Sports Complex

Olympic gold medallist Rai Benjamin has praised the enthusiasm of young athletes who took part in a training clinic at the YASCO Sports Complex on 29 December 2025.
The one-day clinic brought together aspiring athletes for a hands-on experience led by Benjamin and members of his elite training group.
Participants began the session with a meet-and-greet, giving them the opportunity to interact with the Olympic hurdler and his teammates before taking part in a structured warm-up.
The athletes then rotated through a series of activity circuits designed to build speed, power and technique. These included plyometric exercises, block starts, long jump drills, hurdle work and relay exchanges.
Organisers said the programme was aimed at exposing young athletes to high-performance training methods while encouraging discipline and teamwork.
At the end of the clinic, each participant received athletic gear provided by the Olympians, marking the close of what organisers described as an engaging and motivating experience.
The clinic forms part of wider efforts to support youth development through sport and to inspire the next generation of track and field athletes by connecting them directly with world-class competitors.
