The Permanent Secretary with responsibility for Primary Health Care and Institutions, Stacey Gregg-Paige marked a significant milestone as she hosted the first Senior Technicians Meeting for the year.

Held at the scenic St. James Club, the gathering brought together senior technical officers who form the backbone of the Ministry’s operations.

In her opening address, the Permanent Secretary expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Senior Technicians for their unwavering dedication, resilience, and creativity in navigating challenges and delivering exceptional results, often with limited resources.

“Your expertise and commitment to excellence are critical to the success of our mission,” she stated.

“This meeting is not just about operations; it’s about you—your growth, your collaboration, and the extraordinary impact we can achieve together as a team.”

The meeting provided a platform for reflection, collaboration, and strategic alignment for the year ahead. Recognizing the importance of team dynamics, the Permanent Secretary emphasized the need to prioritize human connections within the organization to ensure continued success.

“Today’s gathering is a deliberate effort to step away from the routine demands of our roles, to foster collaboration, build stronger relationships, and reenergize ourselves.

It is an opportunity to reflect, regroup, and invest in the connections that are essential to achieving our goals,” she noted.

The day’s agenda included an opportunity for Senior Technicians to share their individual goals for 2025, alongside team-building exercises aimed at strengthening relationships and enhancing collaboration.

Attendees were encouraged to embrace the event as a space for innovation, trust-building, and mutual learning. “Together, we can achieve extraordinary things,” the Permanent Secretary concluded, inspiring the team to approach the year with renewed vigor and a shared commitment to excellence.

This meeting underscores the Ministry of Health’s commitment to fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation as it seeks to deliver outstanding primary health care and institutional services to the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
