Police Deny Claims of Mutilation in Chantel Crump’s Death
Authorities have dismissed social media allegations that nine-year-old Chantel Crump’s body was mutilated.
While withholding specific details about the condition of the child’s body when it was discovered, police confirmed that the claims are false.
Crump was found dead in a bushy area at Weatherhills last Friday night.
Angela Mejia, a 20-year-old woman, has been charged with her murder and remains in custody. She is set to appear in court in early June and has requested legal representation.
