The Princess Margaret School (PMS) and the Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS) are mourning the killing of student Brianna Clarke, one of two victims in a double homicide shooting on Thursday morning.

ABCAS confirmed that Clarke was a Year Two Culinary Arts student at the Muriel O’Mard Campus. In a statement, the institution said its community was grieving her sudden and tragic death.

“The ABCAS community mourns the sudden and tragic passing of Brianna Clarke… We extend our deepest condolences to her family, loved ones, and all who are grieving during this difficult time,” the statement said.

The college noted that Clarke joined the institution in 2024 and had been progressing through her programme, adding that staff and students had been looking forward to celebrating her completion.

The Princess Margaret School also expressed condolences following the deaths of Clarke and Omari Lewis, describing the loss as deeply felt across its school community.

“The Principal, staff, and students of the PMS school community extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Brianna Clarke and Omari Lewis on their tragic passing,” the school said.

The school added that it stands in solidarity with grieving families and all those affected by the loss.

Clarke and Lewis were shot and killed in Villa on Thursday morning in what residents believe was a drive-by shooting. Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
