Official of the Year 2025: Rawle Lee Honoured at National Sports Awards

Volleyball referee Rawle Lee has been named Official of the Year 2025 at the Antigua and Barbuda National Sports Awards, an event led by Sports Minister Daryll S. Matthew.

The award was presented by Dr. Colin Greene, Commissioner of Sports, and recognizes excellence in officiating and contributions made behind the scenes of competitive sport.

Lee, a FIVB-certified referee and National Referee Coordinator for the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association, was commended for raising the standard of volleyball officiating locally and across the region.

His appointment as Antigua and Barbuda’s first Continental Referee at the XVIII Pan American Cup was described as a milestone achievement for the country, highlighting his growing influence on the regional stage.

Organizers noted that Lee’s discipline, integrity and leadership continue to strengthen the development of volleyball and sports officiating in Antigua and Barbuda.

The National Sports Awards celebrate athletes, coaches and officials whose performances and service contribute to the advancement of sport nationwide.
