MP Greene pays tribute to the late Teacher Cora

MP Ep Chet Greene Wrote this tribute to his late Constituent.

At 7:37 PM today (Moroccan time), I received some heartbreaking news that brought my joyful vacation with family to an immediate end. The news, which I wish I could change, is that my beloved godmother, Cora Huggins, has passed away.

Known fondly as Teacher Cora, she was a beloved figure to many generations of students, villagers and colleagues. Her unwavering dedication to teaching and her deep commitment to the community will be remembered for years to come. Her absence will be profoundly felt.

The last meaningful engagement I had with her was on Thursday, December 19th, during the Annual St. Paul’s Senior Citizens Christmas Extravaganza. We shared a delightful exchange filled with hope and plans for the future.

Now, those dreams seem to have slipped away as I join my family, her colleagues in the teaching profession, our St. Paul’s community and countless others whose lives were enriched by her presence.

Goddie, your life was one of profound service and love. May you rest peacefully and find eternal solace in the arms of your Maker. Thank you for the love and dedication you showed to others. You will always be remembered.
